Gina Joy Carano has been a mixed martial artist for more than 10 years. She's an actor, fitness model and former mixed-fighter. She started out as an Muay Thai fighter and has been named the "Face" of women's MMA. With 12 victories under her credit, she boasts a remarkable Muay Thai performance record. Hers is the only American winning title by a woman in Muay Thai in Thailand. As a child, she studied gymnastics and ballet jazz tap. She was also a pro at basketball, volleyball and softball. Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling and other martial arts are also part of her training. Seven wins and one loss are the sum of her MMA experience. The strength and skill she displays when in the ring, along with her affable manner of living and beautiful look has made her an incredibly popular MMA superstar. In her role as an actress, she performed in blockbuster film in Hollywood including Haywire as well as Fast & Furious 6'. Some critics claimed that she was dependent on her sexual appeal for success. The fans continued to show their admiration despite severe criticism. She is an inspiration to many due to her undeniable talent strong character and determination.
